Warranty Policy
Salt Cell Supplies (saltcellsupplies.com) offers three separate warranty policies depending on the product purchased. All warranties are issued by Salt Cell Supplies and governed by the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, 15 U.S.C. §§ 2301 et seq.
Policy 1 — 5-Year Limited Warranty: Platinum Edition Replacement Cells
Effective for all Platinum Edition replacement cells purchased from saltcellsupplies.com.
1. Who Is Covered
This warranty extends solely to the original retail purchaser of the product. It is non-transferable and does not extend to any subsequent owner or user of the product.
2. What Is Covered
Salt Cell Supplies warrants that each Platinum Edition replacement cell will be free from defects in materials and workmanship, under normal residential use and service conditions, for a period of five (5) years from the date of original purchase (the "Warranty Period"). Coverage is for residential use only within the United States.
3. What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover and expressly excludes the following:
- Damage caused by improper water chemistry, including calcium scaling resulting from excessive calcium hardness, and chlorine output degradation caused by insufficient cyanuric acid (CYA) levels.
- Damage caused by freezing of water within the cell.
- Damage caused by aggressive or improper acid washing, including washing at excessive concentration or frequency.
- Natural depletion of the catalytic (ruthenium oxide) coating on the cell blades. Natural cell depletion is a standard operational reality inherent to all salt chlorine generator cells and is not considered a manufacturing defect.
- Damage caused by physical impact, misuse, neglect, accident, unauthorised modification, or installation not in accordance with the product instructions.
- Damage caused by use outside the rated flow, temperature, salinity, or operational parameters specified in the product documentation.
- Products with a removed, altered, or illegible serial number.
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect function, including fading, discolouration, or surface corrosion not related to a manufacturing defect.
4. Pro-Ration Schedule

"Current published retail price" means the price listed on saltcellsupplies.com at the time the claim is approved. Pro-rated pricing covers the replacement cell only; return shipping and installation remain the purchaser's responsibility.
5. How to Make a Claim
- Contact us at support@saltcellsupplies.com before returning any product.
- Provide proof of purchase (order number or receipt) showing the original purchase date.
- Provide a written description of the defect and photographs where possible.
- Ship the defective cell, freight prepaid and adequately packaged, to the address provided upon approval. The purchaser is responsible for all return shipping and insurance costs.
Salt Cell Supplies will inspect the returned cell and notify the purchaser of our determination within a reasonable time after receipt.
6. Remedy
If a valid claim is confirmed, Salt Cell Supplies will, at its option, repair or replace the defective cell, or provide a pro-rated credit as outlined in Section 4. Replacement cells may be new or factory-reconditioned units of equal or greater performance. Our liability is limited solely to repair or replacement of the defective product.
7. Labour and Installation Costs
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER LABOUR COSTS OR CHARGES OF ANY KIND. All costs associated with the removal of the defective cell and installation of any replacement are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
8. Limitation of Implied Warranties
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY.
9. Exclusion of Incidental and Consequential Damages
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SALT CELL SUPPLIES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THIS PRODUCT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF REVENUE, COST OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS, OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY.
10. Your State Law Rights
SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
11. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a warranty dispute that cannot be resolved by contacting us directly, the purchaser may seek remedies available under applicable state and federal law, including the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, 15 U.S.C. §§ 2301 et seq.

This warranty constitutes the entire warranty with respect to Platinum Edition replacement cells. No dealer, distributor, or agent is authorised to modify, extend, or add to this warranty.
Policy 2 — 5-Year Limited Warranty: Complete Salt Chlorine Generator Systems
Effective for all Salt Cell Supplies own-brand complete salt chlorine generator systems (including Sunseeker and Infinity Series) purchased from saltcellsupplies.com.
Important — Cells in Complete Systems: If your complete system includes a Platinum Edition replacement cell, that cell is covered separately under Policy 1. This systems warranty covers all other system components: the control box, power supply, flow sensor, housing, and associated hardware.

2. What Is Covered
Salt Cell Supplies warrants that each covered complete salt chlorine generator system will be free from defects in materials and workmanship, under normal residential use and service conditions, for a period of five (5) years from the date of original purchase (the "Warranty Period"), subject to the pro-ration schedule in Section 4. Coverage is for residential use only within the United States.
3. What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover and expressly excludes the following:
- The Platinum Edition replacement cell shipped with the system (covered under Policy 1 above).
- Damage caused by improper water chemistry, including calcium scaling resulting from excessive calcium hardness and chlorine output degradation caused by insufficient cyanuric acid (CYA) levels.
- Damage caused by freezing of water within the system.
- Damage caused by aggressive or improper acid washing.
- Natural depletion of the catalytic (ruthenium oxide) coating on any cell included in the system.
- Damage caused by physical impact, misuse, neglect, accident, unauthorised modification, or installation not in accordance with the product instructions.
- Damage caused by use outside the rated flow, temperature, salinity, or operational parameters specified in the product documentation.
- Damage resulting from improper electrical installation or supply voltage outside the rated specification.
- Products with a removed, altered, or illegible serial number.
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect function.
4. Pro-Ration Schedule

Policy 3 — 60-Day Limited Warranty: Accessories
Effective for all accessories purchased from saltcellsupplies.com.
Covered accessories include: O-rings (all brands and sizes), cell housings, lead kits, plug cords, flow switches, union kits, output cables, and locking rings.
1. Who Is Covered
This warranty extends solely to the original retail purchaser of the accessory. It is non-transferable.
2. What Is Covered
Salt Cell Supplies warrants that covered accessories will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of sixty (60) days from the date of original purchase. Coverage is for residential use only within the United States.
3. What Is Not Covered
- Normal wear and tear, including gradual degradation of O-rings and seals through regular use and UV exposure.
- Damage caused by incorrect installation or use outside the product's rated parameters.
- Damage caused by chemical exposure from improper water chemistry.
- Damage caused by physical impact, misuse, neglect, or accident.
- Consumable items that are not physical products, including Shipping Protection and Pro-Rata Warranty service credits.
4. Remedy
If a valid claim is confirmed within the 60-day Warranty Period, Salt Cell Supplies will, at its sole discretion, replace the defective accessory or issue a refund of the original purchase price. Our liability is limited solely to replacement or refund of the defective item.
5. How to Make a Claim
- Contact us at support@saltcellsupplies.com within the 60-day Warranty Period.
- Provide your order number and a description of the defect, along with a photograph where possible.
- Salt Cell Supplies will advise whether return of the item is required. Where a return is required, the purchaser is responsible for return shipping costs.
6. Labour and Installation Costs
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER LABOUR COSTS OR CHARGES OF ANY KIND associated with the removal or installation of the defective or replacement accessory.
7. Limitation of Implied Warranties
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE SIXTY (60) DAY WARRANTY PERIOD.
